· Who is Empire United Soccer?
Empire United Soccer is a non-profit competitive youth soccer club serving the greater Binghamton, NY area. Empire strives to teach good sportsmanship, develop individual skills and athletic discipline through a trained coaching staff, while promoting a love for the game.
· What is Empire United Soccer?
Empire United Soccer is a competitive travel soccer club. Club players compete in age appropriate groups against players from other local and regional clubs. Teams are divided based on gender as well as by age groups. Age groups are generally formed on a 2-year separation. For example: U10B, U12G, U14 etc. In some instances players may request the opportunity to compete at a higher age level.
There are also instances where players are asked to play up an age group based on their ability. There are policies implemented by the club to ensure that these requests are in the best interest of the player, team and club.
· When is Empire United Soccer?
Empire United Soccer typically runs year-round with a summer break beginning in July. Typically there are 3 different sessions which Empire Players compete in. Session I of Indoor Soccer (October-January), Session II of Indoor Soccer (January-April), and Spring Soccer (April-Jun). Indoor soccer generally involves playing small sided games (5v5). Spring soccer generally consists of teams competing with an (11v11) format. Empire United Soccer teams may elect to join leagues and compete in tournaments both locally and regionally. Tournaments typically run for 1 or 2 days usually on weekends. Teams typically practice 1 or 2 times per week depending on each team?s schedule and availability.
· Where is Empire United Soccer?
Empire United Soccer hails from Chenango Forks, NY. Team practices are typically held at various locations within the local Binghamton area. Practice locations are usually at a premium, so we are always looking for new practice venues.
· Why Empire United Soccer?
Empire United Soccer is a great place to develop and refine a player?s soccer skills while still having fun. Empire United Soccer teams compete in leagues and tournaments at a level which is both challenging and rewarding for all players and teams. Empire United Soccer teams conduct their practices in small groups with emphasis on individual skills and extended ball handling exercises.
· How much is Empire United Soccer?
There are several fees involved with club
level soccer. Empire United Soccer currently
has a $65.00 registration fee which covers
player insurance, league registration and
club fees. The registration fee is for the
year and thus covers both sessions of Indoor
Soccer as well as Spring Soccer. Players are
also required to purchase a uniform, currently
priced at $60.00. Teams which elect to enter
Indoor Leagues typically have player fees
ranging from $100-$150 per player, per session.
Teams which elect to enter the Spring League
have player fees ranging from $35-$50. Teams
which elect to enter both Indoor and Spring
Season tournaments will have additional player
fees. Most teams hold fundraisers in efforts
to offset costs. Empire United Soccer Association
also holds various fundraisers throughout
the year. There also may be situations where
some teams elect to bring in specialized coaches
for minimal fees. **There are a limited number
of scholarships available for financial hardship,
so that NO PLAYER has to miss out due to cost!
